2008 CHARLESTON DISTANCE RUN 15 MILE, 3-PERSON 15 MILE RELAY, 5K and WALKS of 5K & 10K SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 2008, 7:30 am Charleston, WV - Virginia St E at Civic Center Dr The 5K course will start and finish at the same locations as the 15 mile race. 5K runners will proceed down Virginia Street, right on Leon Sullivan Way (formerly Broad Street), right on Kanawha Blvd., right again on Court Street, right on Piedmont Road, right on Morris Street, and left on Hansford Street into Laidley Field. 5K runners may be restricted from entering Laidley Field after 8:45 am, because of the 15 mile runners. Water, fruit, wet towels and medical assistance will be available at the finish line. Please look at the 15 Mile Information Page, to see the requirements concerning the timing chip that the 5K runners will also use.
