2008 CHARLESTON DISTANCE RUN 15 MILE, 3-PERSON 15 MILE RELAY, 5K and WALKS of 5K & 10K SATURDAY, AUGUST 30, 2008, 7:30 am Charleston, WV - Virginia St E at Civic Center Dr Welcome to the website for America's 15 Mile and 5K Race and new this year, 5K and 10K Walks. The date for the 2008 race/walk is indicated above. . The Charleston Distance Run 15 Miler is a challenging scenic course, taking you through downtown, rolling through our beautiful hillside neighborhoods, around our West Virginia Capitol and along the city's riverfront. The 5K Race is on a flat course through downtown and along the riverfront. The 5K and 10K Walks follow the same course as the 5K Race, but the 10K Walk adds a detour up into Spring Hill Cemetery and back and then continues on the 5K course. All events start on Virginia Street, one block from the Civic Center and end at Laidley Field. Join us for one of the events, the 36th Charleston 15 Mile Race, the 16th 5K Race, the 3-person 15 Mile Relay, or either the 5K or 10K Walk. We offer online registration through the Active Network.
