2009 CHARLESTON DISTANCE RUN
15 MILE, 3-PERSON 15 MILE RELAY, 5K and Walks of 5K & 10K

The Charleston Sternwheel Regatta is gone, but the Charleston Distance Run Events are on for 2009. America's 15 Mile Race, 3-Person 15 Mile Relay, 5K Race and the 5K and 10K Walks will go on for its 37th year. The date for the 2009 race/walk is indicated above. . Even though the starting location for all of the events will be at the State Capitol, the course descriptions that follow still hold true. The Charleston Distance Run 15 Miler is a challenging scenic course, taking you through downtown, rolling through our beautiful hillside neighborhoods, around our West Virginia Capitol and along the city's riverfront. The 5K Race is on a flat course through downtown and along the riverfront. The 5K Walk follows the same course as the 5K Race. The 10K Walk's course also follows the 5K run course, but adds a detour up into Spring Hill Cemetery and back. All events start and end at the same place as the 15 Miler.
